Villa M’s New Photos

The beautiful photographs that will be displayed on the Villa M Bali website from the end of September are testament to the extraordinary talent of Indonesian photographer, Imp Winartho.

Win is an enterprising photographer whose artistic flair is now being recognised and rewarded in Bali. For example, the way in which he captures the late afternoon sunlight shining across the rice terraces that surround Villa M is quite stunning. Villa M is one of Bali’s most luxurious private villas, and Win has portrayed not only the beauty of the location but also the sense of style, comfort and attention to detail that makes this holiday rental villa stand apart from its competitors.

Imp Winartho has also highlighted the comfort of Villa M Bali, including some of the recreation and relaxation facilities, such as the two enticing swimming pools and the breezy ‘Bale Benggong’, open sided relaxation pavilions, which are ideal not only for dozing and reading, but also for the indulgence of Balinese massage. Furthermore, this young photographer has also drawn attention to some the locally crafted artefact’s that can be found at Villa M, such as the colorful urns and hand carved statues of smiling gamelan musicians and Hindu goddesses.

Villa M’s New Look

The team at Villa M, luxury Villa in Bali, is proud to announce the completion of extensive renovations to the property. The exciting news is that this luxury Bali Villa, which is located in the Umalas area, now boasts a new Master Suite.

Villa M Bali is now a five-bedroom property, comprised of two self-contained villas, each with a private entrance and a private pool, thereby presenting guests with a one, four or five bedroom renting option. The four bedroom holiday villa and the one bedroom Bali honeymoon villa can be either be linked together or remain totally separate and private.

The new Master Suite is located on the upper floor of the larger of the two villas. In keeping with the stylish character of Villa M, this spacious air-conditioned suite presents Bali living at its very best. The room is characterised by a timber floor under a soaring roof. It boasts an LCD flat screen individually controlled satellite TV, complete with a DVD player and quality sound system. It is furnished with a Javanese Kingd size bed made up with crisp white bed linen. Pictures windows capture the sensational rice terrace views, while the opulent ensuite bathroom presents a walk-in rain forest shower, twin washbasins, and a large bathtub.

At Villa M Bali’s enchanting garden wedding venue, a romantic open-air gazebo is surrounded by a velvety smooth lawns, and a paved walkway is lined with the tapered Balinese ceremonial flags known as ‘Umbul Umbul’. The thatched roof of the gazebo is supported by four richly grained coconut wood pillars, and hung with diaphanous white drapes that billow in the gentle breeze.

This exquisite yet simple setting captures the warmth and charm of the tropics, while showcasing the Villa M wedding planner’s ability to blend Western ideas and style with Bali’s exotic facilities, ambiance and natural decor. The garden also doubles as a romantic dinning venue, at night it will be lit by dozens of flickering candles and the air will be scented with the sweet aroma of flowers.

Balinese Cuisine at Villa M

No visit to holiday Bali villa is complete without sampling Bali’s unique and delicious cuisine. The chef and team at Villa M in Bali will serve you with some memorable dinners as well as BBQ beside the pool. Here’s a rundown of some of Bali’s best know dishes.

Babi Guling - Bali’s famous delicacy. A slow-cooked spit roasted pig stuffed with aromatic leaves, onion, garlic and peppercorns, brushed with crushed turmeric and often served with ‘lawar’, a spicy raw meat mash.

Bebek Betutu - Duck stuffed with spices, wrapped in banana leaves and cooked in a coconut-husk-fulled earth-oven. This Balinese specialty is usually served with a tangy lemon sauce together with traditional accompaniments that might includes braised young jack-fruit and the tender, dark green water spinach known as ‘kangkung’.

Nasi Campur - The everyday Balinese meal that can be customised to suit the occasion. Nasi campur is comprised of rice and a selection of vegetables, meat or fish, and other accompaniments that might include egg, tofu, and the fried soybean cakes know as ‘tempe’.

Gado Gado - A warm, fresh salad consisting of blanched, mix vegetables, tofu and hard-boiled egg served with a sweet and spicy peanut sauces.

Pepes Ikan - A dish of fragant spiced local fish, traditionally wrapped and steamd in banana leaf packages and baked on a  fire of coconut husks. The juices are contained inside the paracel and the experience is an explosiion of moist smoky flavour.
