One of the closet beaches to Villa M Bali is Berawa beach near Canggu, for surfers, this offers an exposed reef break with consistent surf. May to October (dry season) is the favoured time for the waves. Reef breaks provide lefts and rights-in fact, the neighbouring Canggu beach presents one of the few right-hand waves on the west cost of Bali. The simple warungs (eateries) next to the beach house at Echo beach are all surfer to hangouts.

The famous Kuta beach sweeps for six kilometers along the southwest cost. Renowned for its legendary sunsets and surf breaks, the beach is the venue of many beaches games, contests and musical performances.

Sanur beach features soft white sand and a lagoon that makes it an ideal family destination, good swimming and snorkeling, with a mixture of traditional village life and tourist facilities.

The Crescent shaped beach at Jimbaran is unspoilt and tranquil, and the sand is soft and golden. The entrance to the bay is blocked by unbroken coral reef, which can be traversed only by the very small jukung fishing boats; so although the calm water is not suitable for surfing, it is a safe haven for swimming.

The white sand beach at Nusa Dua is ideal for family beach, while neighbouring Nusa Dua specialise in water sports. Crystal water makes for excellent snorkeling and the wave on the northern and the southern part of Nusa Dua are great for surfing.

The surf breaks on the bukit peninsula are the most thrilling and popular in Bali and the beaches are very beautiful with soft white sand.
