Stone carvings is prevalent all over the Island, and can be seen in the garden statues at Villa M, in temple architecture, in distinctive split gates, swirling stone friezes and also mythological statuary, created mainly from soft volcanic stone or paras river stone. Woodcarving, meanwhile, can be seen from elaborately carved doors to exquisite wood sculptures of Hindu Gods and goddesses, mythological figures, birds and animals.

Bali Villa Rental Association

Villa M Bali is proud to annouce that it is sponsoring the official launch of the Bali Villa Rental Association (BVRA). In its role as sponsor, Villa M will be providing the venue for the BVRA launch event, which will take place at Villa M on November 7th 2008.

Villa M is a truly luxurious private rental Villa, honeymoon Villa and wedding venue in Bali, surrounded by rice terraces and located in the Umalas area.

The Bali Villa Rental Association is the only legally acknowledged business accociation of holiday rental agencies in Bali. This relatively new Association storngly believes that, instead of competition, collaboration is the right way forward in order to achieve business growth. BVRA was established by and for licensed villa rental agencies operating in Bali with objective to ensure service quality for both villa owners and holiday makers. By renting a villa through a BVRA member, customers are ensured peace of mind regarding the reliability of the villa rental agent as well as quality of the villa their are about to rent.

The event will take place in the beautiful, spacious gardens of Villa M Bali. BVRA members and guests at the event will have the opportunity to tour Villa M as well, as the recent renovations and upgrade of the property is now complete and Villa M flaunts a bold new plumage.

This is some of the most exciting news we have so far. Many of you may not remember the exact time of our re-launching; it was one year ago in September. We have faced a lot of challenges over the past few months and during that time a variety of experiences has brought tears to our eyes, both of sadness and of joy. However, with the greatest respect, we are grateful that we have achieved our goal, our renovation is now complete and we are still standing here as on of the best private villa in Bali.

In this issue, we would first like to thank you; please accept our most gratitude for all your support, and for allowing Villa M to grow and stand alongside you in every opportunity. Thank you for believing in us and for the recognition of our teamwork, our dedication, compassion and whole-heartedly commitment in this most challenging business.

As a result of your support, we are certainly celebrating our achievements with you. Here we are introducing our Master Suite Room and the new face of Villa M.

In this opportunity, I also would like to thank you for the support of my wonderful team; we have successfully managed to raise the profile and name of Villa M, building a superb reputation for our excellent service and high standard of accommodation Villa.

None of this success could be achieved without the help of my team members. I would therefore like to thank again for their loyalty, commitment, passion and their exemplary standards of service to our guests. I believe I am extremely lucky to have found such a great team, and I therefore look forward to another year as we look forward to more success together.

The Indigenous Materials of Indonesia at Villa M Bali

Private Villa M Bali is proud to incorporate the beautiful natural fibres, stones and timber of Bali and Indonesia within its construction and recent renovation.

A capricious mixture of these natural material and bold textures ranges from the stacked slate splash-back in the walk-in raindrop shower of the new Master Suite, and the red tones of the polished merbau wood floor in the new Master Bedroom, to the richly grained rough tumble marble walls in the newly renovated kitchens. The new exterior stone walls are composed of random serai rocks that have been pieced together to portray an intricate jigsaw of shapes, while Villa M’s two dazzling swimming pools are lined with greenish blue Sukabumi stone from Java. The thatched roofs of all the buildings at Villa M near Umalas in Bali, feature ‘alang alang’ or ‘kunai’ grass, a totally natural product grown and harvested in Bali and Lombok. The thatch is hand woven and lashed onto bamboo battens to create this amazing roofing material. Finally, the statues of the gamelan musicians in the garden are hand carved from paras stone, a soft sandstone that is mined from the river beds of Bali.

Evolution and Upgrade of Villa M Bali

Villa M has been immaculately maintained since it was built, because we realise the importance of keeping up the high standards of your holiday and honeymoon accommodation in Bali. In line with this philosophy, a gentle renaissance has recently taken place at Villa M Bali with our renovation and upgrade programme, designed to enrich your experience while ensuring that the beautiful energy and ambience’s of your luxury holiday villa in Bali is retained.

The last changes in the two villas at Villa M Bali include not only the new Master Suite, but also new stonework and black granite work surfaces in the two kitchens. The interiors have been refreshed with new soft furnishings and upholstery, and the distinct tone of the Indonesian culture is now showcased with hand-picked pieces of water hyacinth furniture, stunning lamps, decorative arrangements of bamboo, and artefact’s from Indonesian archipelago. The courtyard gardens have been enhanced with indigenous ’serai’ random rock walls and plinths for the gamelan statues. The color theme now presents a warm, welcoming orange, which can be seen throughout both villas, while some beautiful new artwork adorns the interior walls.

Although the present renovation and upgrade programme is now complete, this luxury rental villa in Bali will continue to evolve, therefore maintaining the freshness and high standards that you would expect from your holiday accommodation in Bali.
